my cruiser gets 45 mpg on a good day, if i don't push it. with that small tank, i can go 80-90 miles before i hit the reserve.
but my NEW bike is getting about 59 mpg. i rode 167 miles last week and only took 2.8 gallons this morning. this bike will save me a lot of $$ in a long run!
one thing i am not crazy about this bike is that there is no petcock to switch to reserve. instead it has a warning light. at about 165 miles, the warning light came on. the manual states that when the warning light comes on, there should be about 0.9 gallons of fuel left in the tank. so i guess i can go 50 miles after the light comes on.
but what if the fuel level sensor break? i guess i just have to trust the tripmeter and fuel every 160 miles or so.
