Georgia '14 - Day 2

Day 2

Jennings Ferry Campground => Ellijay, GA

Got up with the sun.  Overnight wasn't too humid.  It was down to about 75 degrees.

We said goodbye to the campground, looked for a quick gas in Eutaw, AL - pronounced like Utah.

From there, we hit I-20 and moved quickly to Birmingham, AL.  We were to stop at Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum.

It was an amazing place with lots of motorcycles and cars.  Many of them were my dream machines.

As we were leaving the museum, we asked the receptionist where to have lunch.  She suggested Rusty's BBQ in Leeds, AL, about 3 miles from the museum.

One of the best BBQ I've ever had.  What you see there is Pork BBQ plate with spicy beans and potato salad.  I also ordered a bit of ribs.  With a drink it came to about $18.00.  I thought that was pricy.

The forecast called for the rain all the way from there to our destination.  We prepared our gear to cope with that.  Stopped at Rainbow City for Gas and that was the only stop we really needed to make it to our friends house in Ellijay.

At the end of the day, we have ridden nearly 900 miles.  So today, we rode about 300 miles.
