bought a rebuild kit on eBay.
obviously there was some leakage...
inside the cylinder looks strange, too.
used Amazon packaging plastic bag (air filled cushion bag) as i pumped the clutch lever.
piston came out easily.
here is the piston with old hardware
at this point, i need to take out the banjo bolt to disconnect the slave cylinder from the bike.
i found some dirt, sludge, and some pitting inside.
used 2000 sandpaper wet with DOT 4.
here is the piston - some discoloration after 13 years.
put it back all together with new hardware.

bleed and get all the air out!

DONE!

good to go for a while now.
