New Rear Tire

22,775 miles

ok, so i haven't got to ride but one mile since my last post. bummer.

saturday afternoon, i discovered that my inspection expired last december - doh! so i took the bike to my neighborhood inspection station. of course, it passed. $14.50!

i also noticed that my rear tire was showing the seam in the middle of it. it's time to change the tire!!! luckly, i had bought a barely used michelin pilot road a year ago ( http://xamper.blogspot.com/2007/08/new-tires.html ) and i still had it sitting in my garage. i took that and my rear wheel to a nearby cycle shop. they installed the tire for $30.

as you can see in this post ( http://xamper.blogspot.com/2007/03/flat-tire.html ), it was at 11,400 miles when i put on a new dunlop d220 on the rear. so i guess d220 is only good for about 11,000miles of commuting. i wonder how well pilot road will stand.

now the bike is ready for commute tomorrow... i hope.
