CB750 Coils, Battery Tray, & Center Stand

i have been working with upgrading the old style ignition to modern electronic one. today i worked on installing a dyna 3 ohm coils and dyna spark plug wires.

it was my first time and made a few mistakes in making the wire. first, when you gut the wire, make sure to slip the cap before you install the terminal. (as you see below)

also, i was confused about the terminal. the ribbed end of the terminal goes to the wire and the unribbed end goes into the coil. i had to re-attach all four of them.

when i took the old coil out, the coil mount was very dirty. i gave the simple green bath for a couple of days. i also made a clear making with masking tape which wire was for cylinder 1-4 and which one was for 2-3.

i had to cut the wire out of the old coils then make a good terminal with the supplied terminal end. i solder the wire to the terminal to make a good connection.

when you finally install the coils onto the bike, make not to put them on the bracket first. place the coils in place, put the brackets on. then attache them to the bike. it is really tight in there.

i also used the wire wheels to clean up the center stand (from ebay) and the battery tray. then painted with the primer. it will be painted black tomorrow.

all in all, it took me about a half a day to get all that done.
