I bought a set of adventure mirrors from Double Take Mirror.
I followed the website's suggestion and bought a set of Ball Plate Bases. Now I had to figure out how to install them on my bike. My mirrors were mounted through the perch with a nut on the bottom. I had to find the right size bolts to use with the stock lock nut bolt at the bottom. Spacers were also needed.
I use the followings.
TWO M8 - 1.25 X 90MM
ONE 36 in. x 1/2 in. x 1/16 in. Aluminum Round Tube
I cut two pieces of spacers out of the aluminum tubing. Each one was 3 inches long. Then as see on the following picture, you can assemble the plate.
Tomorrow I will test the mirrors as I commute.
