Changed the coolant on F800GS. Used BMW genuine antifreeze coolant purchased from Ft. Worth Motorrad.
The procedure was simple. Get the left top and left side plastics off.
You see a little bit of the old coolant in the reservoir.
I opened up the radiator cap and it didn't look good. I saw some milky residue floating.
drain the coolant from the lower exchange pipe and upper engine drain hole (not shown).
After the drain, I filled it up with the distilled water and ran it until engine was hot. Cooled the engine and drain the coolant, then fill it with the BMW antifreeze. There is a air escape screw at the top of the water pump. Use it to let the air out of the system.
That's it. I think I'm good for another... 2 years? may be?
