10,000 miles
From April 2024 until April 2025, I had THREE tire puncture on the rear time of Tenere 700. The first flat was a nail. It happened 30 miles from home and I called the AAA to haul my bike back to my house. The third time was the same. In fact, it h append at the exam same location.
The second time was a bit different. I attempted to convert the rear wheel to tubeless by applying 3M caulking and tape. It worked well. It sealed the rear wheel completely and I was running it tubeless. However, in one of my ride with buddies (200 miles away from home), the I had a flat. I thought it was a nail. BUT one of the spoke came loose and it was poking through the tape. I took the rear wheel off, put the tube in, and came home.

I was so sick of my Tenere getting flats! I read in ADVRider community, there is a company that makes cross spoke wheels for Tenere. In fact, this company makes the wheels for BMW. I found them on eBay and purchased the set. It wasn't cheap.
I received the wheels and they are well made. I am impressed.
I mounted Shinko 804/805 tires on the rims. I also had to transfer all other parts from the old wheels; brake rotors, ABS rings, & sprocket. They all went smoothly. As I've done a short ride, so far so good.
